Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely praised for her pioneering the science of the eyewitness memory of children as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer, has won several awards and grants. She has consulted with numerous governments and agencies throughout the world on policies and research concerning children who are victims of the justice system. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
